St. Joseph, The Model of Workmen and Protector of the Universal Church, might not have a single word to his name in the Bible. But he’s the strong foundation of the life of the Holy Family.

Work has always taken up most of my day since I first started working. But in 2019, during the NYD, I volunteered to help care for the National Youth Day delegates for a week.

Perhaps those who’ve known me as a missionary thought I always had the “heart to serve.” But no — I became one out of curiosity.

In 2018, I decided to start working from home and do missionary work during my free time and weekends.

In February 2020, just before the pandemic hit, I signed up for all the community missions scheduled that month. I worked for 1 week, and did missions for a total of 3 weeks.

From working and doing missions anywhere in PH to staying put at home for a year, I realized that God & COVID-19 changed my life for good.

Aside from TOB missions, I also had the opportunity to serve in the Children’s Adoration apostolate of the Brothers of Saint John – Taboan. This apostolate caters to children aged 6 to 12. I joined the apostolate's event on December 8, 2022, during the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception

COVID-19 might have brought along a lot of challenges. But I’m really happy that the pandemic halted the operations of nightclubs.
